  1. 1. Whisk the egg whites together with a pinch of salt until stiff.
  2. 2. Add the sugar and continue to beat the mixture until it is glossy and firm.
  3. 3. Stir the flour into the egg mixture gradually.
  4. 4. Add the ground walnuts and stir them in.
  5. 5. Stir the butter into the dough at the end.
  6. 6. Fill the dough into a piping bag fitted with a plain nozzle.
  7. 7. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  8. 8. Pipe small dots of dough onto the tray.
  9. 9. Make sure the dots have some space between them, as the dough will spread while baking.
  10. 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  11. 11. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes.
  12. 12. Take the cookies out of the oven.
  13. 13. Let the cookies cool down completely.
  14. 14. Chop the chocolate coating into small pieces.
  15. 15. Melt the chocolate slowly.
  16. 16. Take half of the cooled cookies.
  17. 17. Brush the bottom of these cookies with the melted chocolate.
  18. 18. Place a second cookie on top to form a sandwich.
  19. 19. Brush the top of the finished cookies with chocolate as well.
  20. 20. Place half a walnut on the still wet chocolate.
