🍰 Moist Fig and Nut Cake

Ingredients
- 400 g dried figs
- 250 g hazelnuts (coarsely chopped)
- 250 g whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 200 g raisins
- 300 g cane sugar
- 4 eggs
- 250 ml germ oil
Instructions
- 1. Chop the figs into small pieces.
- 2. Add flour, baking soda (leavening agent), cinnamon, and sugar to a large bowl.
- 3. Mix the dry ingredients with the chopped figs and raisins.
- 4. Beat the eggs with a mixer until they are frothy and light.
- 5. Stir in the oil slowly until a creamy mixture forms.
- 6. Combine the egg mixture with the fig flour mixture until everything is well combined.
- 7. Grease a deep baking tray with some fat.
- 8. Spread the batter onto the prepared tray and smooth it out.
- 9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 10. Bake the cake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
- 11. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on the tray.
- 12. Cut the cake into pieces.
- 13. Dust the pieces with powdered sugar and serve.
