🍰 Crunchy Nut and Honey Cake

Ingredients
- 300 g spelt whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 180 g cold butter
- 160 g honey
- 1 egg yolk
- 100 g ground hazelnuts
- 100 g hazelnut kernels
Instructions
- 1. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- 2. Add the cubed 80 grams of butter, the honey, and the egg yolk.
- 3. Knead the ingredients quickly into a soft dough.
- 4. Grease a baking sheet with some fat.
- 5. Place the dough on the baking sheet.
- 6. Moisten your hands slightly with water.
- 7. Press the dough flat with your moist hands into a rectangle of about 35 by 20 centimeters.
- 8. Melt the remaining butter in a small saucepan.
- 9. Add the remaining honey, the ground nuts, and the whole nuts to the pot.
- 10. Let the mixture slowly come to a boil over low heat while stirring constantly.
- 11. Spread the nut mixture evenly over the dough.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the tray in the center.
- 13. Bake the cake for about 15 minutes.
- 14. Take the cake out of the oven.
- 15. Cut the still hot cake into pieces.
- 16. Let the pieces cool on a wire rack.
