🍽️ Chocolate Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 700 g spelt flour
- 1 cube yeast
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 150 g natural sourdough (1 pack)
- 2 tbsp walnut oil
- 200 g walnuts (coarsely chopped)
- 200 g dark chocolate (coarsely chopped)
- flour (for the work surface)
Instructions
- 1. Dissolve the yeast in two tablespoons of lukewarm water.
- 2. Mix the yeast water in a bowl with about 420 milliliters of lukewarm water, salt, sourdough starter, and flour.
- 3. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about one hour.
- 5. Knead the risen dough briefly again.
- 6. Sprinkle some flour on your work surface.
- 7. Quickly work the walnuts, oil, and chocolate into the dough.
- 8. Grease a loaf pan and dust it with flour.
- 9. Place the dough into the prepared pan.
- 10. Brush the surface of the bread with some water.
- 11. Cover the pan with a damp cloth.
- 12. Let the bread rise again for about 30 minutes.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 14. Place a heatproof dish filled with water on the bottom of the oven.
- 15. Place the bread on the middle rack.
- 16. Bake the bread for about 60 minutes.
- 17. Remove the bread from the oven.
- 18. Let the bread cool in the pan.
- 19. Turn the bread out of the pan.
- 20. Serve the bread with goat cheese.
