  1. 1. Mix the flour with two tablespoons of oat bran and the salt in a bowl.
  2. 2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  3. 3. Crumble the yeast into the well.
  4. 4. Add the sugar and five tablespoons of lukewarm water.
  5. 5. Stir the ingredients in the well slightly.
  6. 6. Dust the edges of the bowl with a little flour.
  7. 7. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Roast the nuts in a hot pan without fat until they smell fragrant.
  9. 9. Remove the nuts from the pan and let them cool.
  10. 10. Chop the cooled nuts coarsely.
  11. 11. Add the chopped nuts, the butter, and about 120 milliliters of lukewarm water to the dough.
  12. 12. Knead the ingredients well into a dough.
  13. 13. Let the dough rest covered for another 45 minutes.
  14. 14. Knead the dough thoroughly again after the resting period.
  15. 15. Shape the dough into a loaf.
  16. 16. Place the loaf into a buttered loaf pan.
  17. 17. Brush the surface of the bread with a little water.
  18. 18. Dust the remaining oat bran over the bread.
  19. 19. Cover the bread with a kitchen towel.
  20. 20. Let the bread rise for another 15 minutes.
  21. 21. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  22. 22. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
  23. 23. Cover the bread with aluminum foil in time so that it does not become too dark.
  24. 24. Remove the bread from the oven.
  25. 25. Let the bread cool completely.
  26. 26. Release the bread from the pan.
