🍽️ Crunchy Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 4 tbsp oat bran
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 cube yeast (21 g)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 150 g walnut kernels
- 50 g butter
- butter (for the pan)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the flour with two tablespoons of oat bran and the salt in a bowl.
- 2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
- 3. Crumble the yeast into the well.
- 4. Add the sugar and five tablespoons of lukewarm water.
- 5. Stir the ingredients in the well slightly.
- 6. Dust the edges of the bowl with a little flour.
- 7. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
- 8. Roast the nuts in a hot pan without fat until they smell fragrant.
- 9. Remove the nuts from the pan and let them cool.
- 10. Chop the cooled nuts coarsely.
- 11. Add the chopped nuts, the butter, and about 120 milliliters of lukewarm water to the dough.
- 12. Knead the ingredients well into a dough.
- 13. Let the dough rest covered for another 45 minutes.
- 14. Knead the dough thoroughly again after the resting period.
- 15. Shape the dough into a loaf.
- 16. Place the loaf into a buttered loaf pan.
- 17. Brush the surface of the bread with a little water.
- 18. Dust the remaining oat bran over the bread.
- 19. Cover the bread with a kitchen towel.
- 20. Let the bread rise for another 15 minutes.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 22. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
- 23. Cover the bread with aluminum foil in time so that it does not become too dark.
- 24. Remove the bread from the oven.
- 25. Let the bread cool completely.
- 26. Release the bread from the pan.
- 27. Slice the bread.
- 28. Serve the bread.
