🍽️ Quorn Fillets with Nut Filling

Ingredients
- 720 g Quorn (fillets, 4 Quorn)
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion
- 200 g nuts (e.g. walnuts, cashews, peanuts)
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped thyme
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- pickled cranberries (to taste)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Make a side cut into each Quorn fillet to create a pocket.
- 3. Mix one teaspoon of turmeric with one tablespoon of oil in a small bowl.
- 4. Brush the Quorn fillets all over with the turmeric and oil mixture.
- 5. Peel one onion and dice it finely.
- 6. Finely chop the nuts.
- 7. Combine the chopped nuts, diced onion, orange juice, remaining turmeric, remaining oil, cornstarch, thyme, and fennel seeds in a bowl.
- 8. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
- 9. Stuff the mixture into the pockets of the Quorn fillets.
- 10. Place the stuffed Quorn fillets into a baking dish.
- 11. Distribute the remaining filling around the fillets in the dish.
- 12. Pour a little water into the baking dish.
- 13. Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
- 14. Remove the dish from the oven.
- 15. Slice the Quorn fillets.
- 16. Serve the slices together with the filling.
- 17. Serve the dish with cranberries and green asparagus on the side, as desired.
