🍽️ Crunchy Chicken Skewers with Nut-Honey Crust

Ingredients
- 2 pomegranates
- 1 lemon
- 5 tbsp jam sugar
- 50 ml white wine
- 600 g chicken breast fillet
- 1 tbsp oil
- 100 g mixed nuts (to taste)
- 4 tbsp sesame seeds
- 120 ml honey
- 0.5 tsp pepper (crushed)
Instructions
- 1. Separate the pomegranate seeds and squeeze the lemon.
- 2. Add the pomegranate seeds, lemon juice, white wine, and jam sugar to a pot.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- 4. Cut the chicken breast fillets into cubes of about 1.5 cm.
- 5. Fry the meat cubes in hot oil on all sides for 4 to 6 minutes.
- 6. Roughly chop the nuts.
- 7. Roast the nuts in a pan without additional fat until they are fragrant.
- 8. Bring the honey to a boil in a small pot.
- 9. Let the honey boil vigorously for about 7 minutes to reduce.
- 10. Add the roasted nuts, pepper, and sesame seeds, and stir everything well.
- 11. Add the chicken pieces and mix them thoroughly with the mixture.
- 12. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet greased with oil.
- 13. Let the mixture cool down briefly.
- 14. Press the crust firmly around the chicken pieces with your hands.
- 15. Insert a small wooden skewer into each piece.
- 16. Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 17. Warm the skewers briefly in the oven at 100 degrees Celsius.
- 18. Serve the chicken on plates together with the dip.
- 19. Serve the dish warm.
