  5. 5. Gently fold the flour mixture into the honey-egg mixture until a uniform dough forms.
  6. 6. Let the dough rest for a short moment.
  7. 7. Take a warm knife and spread the dough thinly onto round wafer cookies.
  8. 8. Place the topped wafers onto a baking sheet.
  9. 9. Lightly dust the lebkuchen with powdered sugar.
  10. 10. Let the lebkuchen rest overnight in a cool and dry place.
  11. 11. Decorate the lebkuchen the next day with half almonds and glazed cherries.
