  1. 1. Boil water in a large pot and add some salt.
  2. 2. Add the penne pasta to the boiling water and cook until al dente (firm to the bite).
  3. 3. Drain the pasta and rinse briefly with cold water to cool them down.
  4. 4. Let the pasta drain well in a colander.
  5. 5. Heat a pan without fat and toast the pine nuts until golden brown.
  6. 6. Remove the pine nuts from the pan and let them cool down completely.
  7. 7. Wash the arugula (arugula is a type of leaf salad) under running water.
  8. 8. Remove any thick stems or wilted green parts from the arugula.
  9. 9. Dry the arugula thoroughly, for example using a salad spinner or kitchen towels.
  10. 10. Tear the arugula leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  11. 11. Open the can of tuna and drain the water or oil.
  12. 12. Take the tuna out of the can and break it into coarse pieces using a fork.
  13. 13. Peel the garlic clove and cut it into very small cubes.
  14. 14. Whisk the balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, and oil together in a small bowl.
  15. 15. Season the dressing mixture with salt to taste.
  16. 16. Add the drained pasta, arugula, tuna, pine nuts, and garlic to a large bowl.
  17. 17. Pour the dressing over the ingredients and mix everything well together.
  18. 18. Serve the salad on plates.
