  1. 1. Boil water in a large pot and add plenty of salt.
  2. 2. Cook the pasta in it until al dente, exactly as directed on the package.
  3. 3. Drain the pasta and rinse it briefly with cold water so they do not stick.
  4. 4. Let the pasta drain well in a colander.
  5. 5. Peel the shallot and chop it very finely.
  6. 6. Wash the cucumber thoroughly.
  7. 7. Cut the cucumber lengthwise into eight wedges.
  8. 8. Cut these wedges into bite-sized pieces.
  9. 9. Cut the salmon into thin strips.
  10. 10. Break the smoked fish into small pieces.
  11. 11. Mix lemon juice, vinegar, mustard, salt, sugar, pepper, and oil in a bowl to make a dressing.
  12. 12. Add the drained pasta, pumpkin seeds, cucumber pieces, salmon, and smoked fish to a large bowl.
  13. 13. Gently fold the ingredients into the dressing so nothing breaks apart.
  14. 14. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about one hour.
  15. 15. Let the salad marinate so the flavors blend well.
