🍝 Seafood and Sausage Pasta Skillet

Ingredients
- 400 g short macaroni
- salt
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 stalk celery
- 300 g mussels
- 150 g dry white wine
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 300 g shrimp (ready to cook)
- 100 g chorizo
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- cayenne pepper
- ground saffron
Instructions
- 1. Bring water to a boil and add salt. Cook the pasta until al dente (firm to the bite). Drain the pasta and let it drip dry.
- 2. Peel the onion and the garlic. Finely chop both ingredients.
- 3. Wash the celery. Remove any strings and slice the vegetable thinly.
- 4. Wash the mussels thoroughly and remove any dirty or damaged shells.
- 5. Bring the wine to a boil in a pot. Add the mussels to the hot wine.
- 6. Cover the pot and cook the mussels for 6 to 8 minutes. Wait until they have opened.
- 7. Discard any mussels that have not opened. Remove the opened mussels with a slotted spoon.
- 8. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté them.
- 9. Wash the shrimp and let them drip dry.
- 10. Peel the sausage and slice it.
- 11. Add the sausage slices and the celery slices to the pan. Fry everything together for about 3 minutes.
- 12. Add the drained pasta, the parsley, and the prepared mussels to the pan. Mix everything well.
- 13. Season the dish with salt, pepper, and saffron. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- 14. Serve the pasta skillet on plates or directly from the pan. Garnish with lemon wedges if desired.
