  1. 1. Bring water to a boil and add salt. Cook the pasta until al dente (firm to the bite). Drain the pasta and let it drip dry.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and the garlic. Finely chop both ingredients.
  3. 3. Wash the celery. Remove any strings and slice the vegetable thinly.
  4. 4. Wash the mussels thoroughly and remove any dirty or damaged shells.
  5. 5. Bring the wine to a boil in a pot. Add the mussels to the hot wine.
  6. 6. Cover the pot and cook the mussels for 6 to 8 minutes. Wait until they have opened.
  7. 7. Discard any mussels that have not opened. Remove the opened mussels with a slotted spoon.
  8. 8. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté them.
  9. 9. Wash the shrimp and let them drip dry.
  10. 10. Peel the sausage and slice it.
  11. 11. Add the sausage slices and the celery slices to the pan. Fry everything together for about 3 minutes.
  12. 12. Add the drained pasta, the parsley, and the prepared mussels to the pan. Mix everything well.
  13. 13. Season the dish with salt, pepper, and saffron. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  14. 14. Serve the pasta skillet on plates or directly from the pan. Garnish with lemon wedges if desired.
