🍝 Italian-style Pasta and Sausage Skillet

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- salt
- 3 ripe tomatoes
- 300 g broccoli florets
- 4 sprigs basil
- 350 g Italian sausage
- 1 shallot
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 50 g pine nuts
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Bring water to a boil and add salt. Cook the penne pasta in it until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 2. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters. Remove the hard stem base and the seeds. Dice the flesh into small cubes.
- 3. Rinse the broccoli under running water. Boil it in the salted water for 5 to 7 minutes.
- 4. Immediately shock the broccoli with cold water to stop the cooking process. Let it drain well.
- 5. Wash the basil and shake it dry. Pluck the leaves off the stems.
- 6. Slice the basil leaves into thin strips (ribbon cut).
- 7. Remove the casing from the sausages. Slice the meat into rounds.
- 8. Peel the shallot and the garlic. Dice both ingredients finely.
- 9. Heat oil in a large skillet. Fry the sausage slices in it.
- 10. Add the garlic, shallots, and pine nuts to the pan. Sauté everything together for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 11. Add the tomato cubes, broccoli, basil, and drained pasta to the pan.
- 12. Toss the pan briefly to mix and warm all ingredients.
- 13. Season the dish to taste with salt and pepper.
- 14. Serve the pasta skillet directly from the pan.
