🍝 Penne Pasta with Fresh Tomato and Vegetable Sauce

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 500 g tomatoes (can)
- 1 onion
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 bunch basil
- 1 zucchini
- 1 kohlrabi
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tbsp parmesan
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and chop it very finely.
- 2. Wash the zucchini.
- 3. Cut the zucchini lengthwise into quarters.
- 4. Cut the zucchini quarters into bite-sized pieces.
- 5. Peel the kohlrabi.
- 6. Cut the kohlrabi into small cubes.
- 7. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 8. Add the chopped onion and the kohlrabi cubes to the pot.
- 9. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
- 10. Add the tomatoes and the zucchini pieces.
- 11. Let the mixture simmer for 8 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- 12. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 13. Season the sauce with sugar, salt, and pepper.
- 14. Pick the basil leaves off the stems.
- 15. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions.
- 16. Serve the pasta with the tomato sauce.
- 17. Garnish the pasta generously with the fresh basil leaves.
- 18. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over it.
