  1. 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add some salt.
  2. 2. Cook the pasta in this salted water until it is al dente.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic clove and the onion.
  4. 4. Dice the garlic and onion finely.
  5. 5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. 6. Sauté the onion cubes and garlic in the hot oil.
  7. 7. Add the tomatoes along with their juice to the pan.
  8. 8. Mash the tomatoes slightly with a spoon.
  9. 9. Add the cream to the tomato mixture.
  10. 10. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes.
  12. 12. Finally, adjust the seasoning of the sauce with salt and pepper.
  13. 13. Wash the basil under running water.
  14. 14. Pat the basil dry with a kitchen towel.
  15. 15. Slice the basil leaves into thin strips.
  16. 16. Fold the cut basil leaves into the warm sauce.
  17. 17. Drain the cooked pasta in a colander.
  18. 18. Mix the drained pasta with the tomato sauce.
  19. 19. Sprinkle the finished pasta with grated Parmesan.
  20. 20. Serve the pasta immediately.
