🍝 Creamy Pasta with Spinach and Walnuts

Ingredients
- 500 g Spaghetti
- 400 g Spinach (or young chard)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 splash white wine
- 2 shallots
- 2 tbsp butter
- 150 g whipping cream
- 80 g walnut halves
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg (ground)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the spinach under running water.
- 2. Remove the thick stems from the leafy greens.
- 3. Place the damp spinach into a pot.
- 4. Heat the pot on medium until the spinach has wilted.
- 5. Remove the spinach from the pot and set it aside.
- 6. Peel the shallots.
- 7. Finely chop the shallots.
- 8. Melt the butter in a pot.
- 9. Sauté the chopped shallots and garlic in the butter.
- 10. Add the prepared spinach back into the pot.
- 11. Sauté the mixture for two more minutes.
- 12. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
- 13. Drain the pasta.
- 14. Heat the cream in a small pot.
- 15. Season the cream with salt, nutmeg, and pepper.
- 16. Divide the pasta among the plates.
- 17. Place the spinach on top of the pasta.
- 18. Pour the warm cream sauce over everything.
- 19. Roughly chop the walnuts.
- 20. Sprinkle the walnuts over the dish.
- 21. Finally, season the dish again with salt and freshly ground pepper.
