  1. 1. Wash the asparagus and snow peas thoroughly and let them drain. Trim off the woody ends and cut the asparagus into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2. Heat the butter in a pan. Sauté the vegetables briefly while stirring, pour in the vegetable broth, and simmer with the lid on at medium heat for 10 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until tender-crisp.
  4. 4. Cut the salmon into wide strips and mix it with the drained tagliatelle and the vegetables. Garnish the dish with fresh basil leaves.
  5. 5. Serve the pesto (from the jar) on the side.
