  1. 1. Peel the bottom third of the asparagus stalks.
  2. 2. Cut the asparagus stalks diagonally into small pieces.
  3. 3. Wash the chili peppers.
  4. 4. Remove the stems and seeds of the chili and slice them into rings.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic.
  6. 6. Finely chop the garlic.
  7. 7. Heat oil in a pan.
  8. 8. Add the asparagus, chili, and garlic to the hot pan.
  9. 9. Sauté the ingredients briefly.
  10. 10. Deglaze the pan with the broth.
  11. 11. Let the mixture simmer for about 8 minutes.
  12. 12. Reduce the liquid until almost completely evaporated.
  13. 13. Add the shrimp to the pan.
  14. 14. Cook the shrimp along with the sauce for the last 3 to 4 minutes.
  15. 15. Cook the pasta in salted water al dente.
  16. 16. Add the basil to the asparagus mixture.
  17. 17. Season the sauce with lemon juice and salt.
  18. 18. Drain the pasta.
  19. 19. Toss the pasta in the sauce.
  20. 20. Add a little pasta cooking water if necessary.
  21. 21. Serve the pasta on plates.
