🍝 Pasta with Broccoli and Sausages

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 600 g broccoli
- 1 onion
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil
- 250 g thin sausages
- 4 tbsp grated Emmental cheese
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
- 2. Add a handful of salt and a splash of olive oil to the boiling water.
- 3. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente (still slightly firm in the center).
- 4. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- 5. Rinse the broccoli under running water.
- 6. Divide the broccoli into small, bite-sized florets.
- 7. Add the broccoli florets to the boiling salted water for two minutes.
- 8. Remove the broccoli from the water using a slotted spoon.
- 9. Rinse the broccoli immediately with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 10. Peel the onion and rinse it.
- 11. Dice the onion into very small cubes.
- 12. Slice the sausages into rounds about one centimeter thick.
- 13. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- 14. Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté until translucent.
- 15. Add the sausage slices to the pan.
- 16. Fry the sausage briefly until it takes on some color.
- 17. Add the drained broccoli to the pan.
- 18. Stir everything well for one minute until it is heated through.
- 19. Add the drained pasta to the pan.
- 20. Mix the pasta thoroughly with the sausage and broccoli.
- 21. Season the dish to taste with salt and black pepper.
- 22. Serve the dish immediately and sprinkle it with grated cheese.
