🍝 Crispy Pasta Bake with Ham and Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 500 g Maccheroni
- 4 Tomaten
- 200 g Cooked Ham (in slices)
- 100 g Breadcrumbs
- 100 g Grated Cheese
- 200 ml Whipping Cream
- 2 tbsp Crème fraîche
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Cut the tomatoes in half.
- 3. Remove the hard core from the tomato halves.
- 4. Cut the tomato flesh into thin strips.
- 5. Cut the ham into thin, narrow strips.
- 6. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add some salt.
- 7. Cook the Maccheroni pasta in this salted water.
- 8. Cook the pasta until it is still firm to the bite (al dente).
- 9. Drain the pasta and let it drip dry for a moment.
- 10. Heat some butter in a large frying pan.
- 11. Add the ham strips to the hot butter.
- 12. Sauté the ham briefly until it is fragrant.
- 13. Add the tomato strips to the pan.
- 14. Add the drained pasta to the pan.
- 15. Whisk the cream with the crème fraîche in a small bowl.
- 16. Season the cream mixture with salt and black pepper.
- 17. Transfer the pasta, ham, and tomato mixture into a baking dish.
- 18. Pour the seasoned cream mixture evenly over the pasta.
- 19. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the bake.
- 20. Sprinkle grated cheese over the breadcrumbs.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with fan (convection).
- 22. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
- 23. Bake the bake for about 10 minutes.
- 24. Remove the bake from the oven when the surface is golden brown and crispy.
