🍝 Cozy Pasta and Minced Meat Casserole

Ingredients
- 350 g macaroni
- 500 g beans
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp oil
- 400 g minced meat
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tomatoes
- 4 eggs
- 350 ml milk
- 50 g grated cheese (e.g. Gruyère or Gouda)
Instructions
- 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add some salt.
- 2. Add the macaroni to the boiling water and cook until al dente.
- 3. Drain the pasta and rinse it briefly with cold water.
- 4. Let the pasta drain well in a colander.
- 5. Wash the beans under running water.
- 6. Trim the hard ends off the beans.
- 7. Boil the beans in salted water for five minutes.
- 8. Remove the beans from the pot.
- 9. Shock the beans with ice-cold water.
- 10. Let the beans drain well as well.
- 11. Peel the onions and garlic.
- 12. Dice the onions and garlic into small cubes.
- 13. Heat the oil in a large pan.
- 14. Brown the minced meat in the pan briefly.
- 15. Add the diced onions and garlic to the meat.
- 16. Fry everything together for a short time.
- 17. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
- 18. Wash the tomatoes under running water.
- 19. Slice the tomatoes.
- 20. Grease a baking dish with some fat.
- 21. Layer the pasta, beans, meat mixture, and tomato slices alternately in the dish.
- 22. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl with the milk.
- 23. Season the egg-milk mixture with salt and pepper.
- 24. Pour the egg-milk mixture evenly over the casserole.
- 25. Sprinkle the top of the casserole with cheese.
- 26. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 27. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
- 28. Remove the casserole from the oven and serve immediately.
