🍽️ Zander Celery Nigiri

Ingredients
- 50 g sushi rice (Asian market)
- iodized salt
- 1 tsp whole cane sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 50 g extra-fresh zander fillet
- 2 stalks celery
- 3 radishes
- 1 tsp freshly grated horseradish
- 1 nori sheet (Asian market)
- pickled ginger
- soy sauce
- wasabi
Instructions
- 1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions with a little salt.
- 2. Let the rice drain and let it steam briefly.
- 3. Whisk sugar and vinegar together in a small bowl.
- 4. Fold the vinegar-sugar mixture into the warm rice.
- 5. Let the seasoned rice cool down completely.
- 6. Cut the zander into thin strips.
- 7. Cut the celery into small pieces.
- 8. Slice the radishes into thin rounds.
- 9. Lightly moisten your hands with water.
- 10. Shape the cooled rice into small oblong balls.
- 11. Spread the rice balls thinly with horseradish.
- 12. Place the zander strips on top of the rice balls.
- 13. Garnish the nigiri with the celery pieces and radish slices.
- 14. Wrap the nigiri with strips of nori seaweed sheet if desired.
- 15. Arrange the dish with the remaining vegetables.
- 16. Serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
