  1. 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2. Peel off the skin with a knife if it is very thick.
  3. 3. Steam the potatoes in a steamer or colander over boiling water.
  4. 4. Let them steam for about 25 minutes until tender.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic cloves while the potatoes are steaming.
  6. 6. Lightly crush half of the cloves with the flat side of a knife.
  7. 7. Finely chop the remaining garlic cloves.
  8. 8. Rinse the parsley under cold water.
  9. 9. Shake off excess water from the parsley.
  10. 10. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
  11. 11. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
  12. 12. Heat the butter in a large frying pan.
  13. 13. Sauté the whole and chopped garlic until lightly golden brown.
  14. 14. Add the steamed potatoes to the pan.
  15. 15. Gently fold in the parsley with the potatoes.
  16. 16. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  17. 17. Serve the potatoes immediately while warm.
