🍽️ Fried Rice with Chicken Skewers

Ingredients
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 2 Chicken breast fillets
- Soy sauce
- Wooden skewer
- 1 Lime (cut into thin slices)
- 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
- 200 g Basmati rice
- Salt
- 100 g Bean sprouts
- 150 g Carrots
- 150 g Napa cabbage
- 3 red chili peppers
- 100 g Spring onions (or white onions)
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 Egg
- 4 tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 pinch Shrimp paste
- 3 tbsp Sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp Ketchup
- 200 g Shrimp (pre-cooked)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the chicken fillets into thin strips.
- 2. Mix two tablespoons of soy sauce, two tablespoons of sesame oil, and the juice of two limes in a bowl.
- 3. Place the chicken strips in the marinade and let them marinate for about one hour.
- 4. Pour boiling water over the bean sprouts in a sieve and let them drain well.
- 5. Peel the carrots and clean and wash the Chinese cabbage.
- 6. Rinse the rice under running water in a sieve.
- 7. Bring the rice to a boil with double the amount of lightly salted water.
- 8. Let the rice steam covered on very low heat for about 25 minutes.
- 9. Mix the soy sauces, ketchup, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
- 10. Halve the chili peppers lengthwise, remove the seeds, and wash them.
- 11. Cut the chili peppers crosswise into fine strips.
- 12. Peel the spring onions (or onions) and the garlic.
- 13. Finely chop the spring onions (or onions) and the garlic.
- 14. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 15. Thread the marinated meat onto thin wooden skewers.
- 16. Fry the skewers in the pan or on the grill.
- 17. Serve the fried rice dish on a plate.
- 18. Sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds.
- 19. Serve the skewers alongside and enjoy the meal.
