🍰 Fruity Nashi Pears in Lime Sugar Syrup

Ingredients
- 3 Nashi pears
- 1 piece fresh ginger (approx. 4 cm)
- 2 unpeeled limes
- 50 ml lime juice
- 100 g sugar
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger.
- 2. Grate the ginger very finely.
- 3. Wash two limes under hot water.
- 4. Use a peeler to cut the lime peel into thin strips.
- 5. Squeeze the juice out of both limes.
- 6. Mix the sugar with 400 milliliters of water in a pot.
- 7. Bring the sugar-water mixture to a boil.
- 8. Add the grated ginger to the syrup.
- 9. Add the lime strips to the syrup.
- 10. Add half of the lime juice to the syrup.
- 11. Let the syrup simmer for 10 minutes.
- 12. Peel the Nashi pear.
- 13. Remove the core of the pear using an apple corer.
- 14. Slice the pear thinly across the width.
- 15. Pour the remaining lime juice over the pear slices.
- 16. Pour the hot sugar syrup over the pear slices.
- 17. Let the pears marinate in the syrup for at least 2 hours.
- 18. Garnish the finished dish with the lime strips.
- 19. Serve the Nashi pears.
