🍽️ Mussels in Wine Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 kg mussels
- 1 shallot
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 200 ml dry white wine
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the mussels thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Remove the beards from the mussels.
- 3. Discard any mussels that are already open.
- 4. Peel the shallot and the garlic.
- 5. Finely dice the shallot and the garlic.
- 6. Heat oil in a large pan.
- 7. Sauté the shallots and garlic in the hot oil until translucent.
- 8. Deglaze the pan with the wine.
- 9. Add the mussels to the pan.
- 10. Cover the pan with a lid.
- 11. Steam the mussels for about 8 minutes.
- 12. Remove the mussels from the pan as soon as they have opened.
- 13. Discard any mussels that are still closed after 8 minutes.
- 14. Remove the cooked mussels from the broth using a slotted spoon.
- 15. Distribute the mussels onto plates.
- 16. Pour the broth through a sieve to strain it.
- 17. Season the broth with salt and pepper to taste.
- 18. Pour the broth over the mussels.
- 19. Serve the dish immediately.
