🍽️ Spooky Sausage Mummies from Puff Pastry

Ingredients
- 250 g whole wheat puff pastry
- 1 tsp mustard
- 8 poultry sausages (poultry frankfurters)
- 16 peppercorns
Instructions
- 1. Roll out the puff pastry flat using a rolling pin.
- 2. Cut the pastry into strips that are about as wide as your finger.
- 3. Make small cuts on the sides of the sausages to simulate the mummy's arms.
- 4. Make small cuts at the bottom of the sausages for the legs.
- 5. Wrap the puff pastry strips around the sausages.
- 6. Leave a small area at the top free so there is room for the eyes.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius conventional heat (180 degrees Celsius fan-forced or gas mark 3).
- 8. Bake the mummy sausages in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
- 9. Let the baked sausages cool down briefly.
- 10. Dab two small dots of mustard onto the exposed areas for the eyes.
- 11. Place a peppercorn as a pupil into the mustard.
- 12. Serve the spooky mummies immediately while warm.
