🍰 Spider Muffins for Halloween

Ingredients
- 50 g chocolate (grated)
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp oil
- 2 eggs
- 70 g sugar
- 6 tbsp buttermilk
- 250 g flour
- 0.5 packet baking powder
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 muffin tin with 12 indentations; (or 24 paper baking cups)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the banana.
- 2. Mash the banana thoroughly with a fork.
- 3. Mix the banana mash with the lemon juice.
- 4. Whisk the eggs together with the sugar, oil, and buttermilk until frothy.
- 5. Stir the banana-lemon mixture into the egg mixture.
- 6. Mix the flour with the baking powder.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 8. Grease the muffin tin.
- 9. Alternatively, place two paper liners inside each other in the molds.
- 10. Stir the dry flour mixture and the chocolate into the wet mixture only briefly.
- 11. Fill the batter into the prepared liners.
- 12. Bake the muffins in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 20 minutes.
- 13. Remove the muffins from the oven.
- 14. Let the muffins cool down completely.
- 15. Whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice to form a thick glaze.
- 16. Take about 2 teaspoons of the white glaze aside.
- 17. Mix this small amount with cocoa powder to create a brown glaze.
- 18. Spread the white glaze generously over the cooled muffins.
- 19. Fill the brown glaze into a small plastic bag.
- 20. Cut off a tiny corner of the bag tip.
- 21. Pipe small rings of the brown glaze onto the muffins.
- 22. Use a toothpick to pull lines outward from the rings to form a spiderweb pattern.
- 23. Let the decoration dry.
