  2. 2. Toast the nuts in a hot pan without oil over medium heat for 3 minutes.
  3. 3. Remove the pan from the heat.
  4. 4. Transfer the nuts to a bowl.
  5. 5. Let the nuts cool completely.
  6. 6. Roughly chop the cranberries.
  7. 7. Mix the cooled nuts, cranberries, oat flakes, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds in a large bowl.
  8. 8. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
  9. 9. Stir the butter and honey into the dry mixture.
  10. 10. Combine the ingredients well.
  11. 11. Gently fold the stiffly beaten egg whites into the mixture.
  12. 12. Line a baking sheet (approx. 20 x 30 cm) with baking paper.
  13. 13. Spread the mixture onto the sheet.
  14. 14. Smooth the mixture into a rectangle (approx. 20 x 28 cm).
  15. 15. Press the layer down firmly.
  16. 16. Bake the slab in a preheated oven at 170 °C top and bottom heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
  17. 17. Ensure the slab does not turn too dark.
  18. 18. Remove the sheet from the oven.
  19. 19. Let the baked good cool completely.
  20. 20. Cut the baked good into rectangular bars with a sharp knife.
