🍳 Creamy Oatmeal with Walnuts

Ingredients
- 800 ml milk (low-fat)
- 1 vanilla pod
- 150 g rolled oats (robust)
- 40 g walnut kernels
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- 1. Pour the milk into a pot.
- 2. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 3. Add the sliced vanilla pod and the vanilla sugar to the milk.
- 4. Heat the mixture while stirring until it boils.
- 5. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 6. Stir in the oatmeal (reserve 4 tablespoons for later).
- 7. Let the porridge simmer on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 8. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 9. Check the consistency.
- 10. If necessary, add a little more milk until the porridge is thick.
- 11. Remove the vanilla pod from the pot.
- 12. Serve the warm porridge onto plates.
- 13. Chop the walnuts coarsely.
- 14. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and the reserved oatmeal over the porridge.
- 15. Drizzle syrup over the finished dish.
- 16. Serve the porridge immediately.
