🍽️ Crispy Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients
- Vanilla pods
- 125 g flour
- 125 g flour (Type 1050)
- 50 g raw cane sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 125 g butter
Instructions
- 1. Split the vanilla pod in half lengthwise.
- 2. Scrape out the vanilla seeds from the pods using a knife.
- 3. Add flour, raw cane sugar, salt, the vanilla seeds, an egg, and butter to a bowl.
- 4. Quickly knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 5. Wrap the dough tightly in cling film.
- 6. Place the dough in the refrigerator for one hour to chill.
- 7. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius with fan or gas mark 3).
- 8. Take the dough out of the fridge and roll it out in portions to a thickness of about 3 millimeters on a floured surface.
- 9. Cut out any shapes you like from the dough.
- 10. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden yellow.
