🍽️ Crispy Shortcrust Pastry Rolls with Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 pinch salt
- 125 g butter
- 150 g smoked salmon
- 1 tbsp dill (chopped)
- 150 g cream cheese
- 1 tsp horseradish (grated)
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp whipping cream
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- 1. Quickly knead the flour, butter, egg yolk, and salt into a smooth dough.
- 2. If the dough is too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of cold water.
- 3. Wrap the dough in cling film.
- 4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- 5. Chop the smoked salmon into small pieces.
- 6. Mix the chopped salmon with dill, cream cheese, horseradish, and lemon juice.
- 7. Spread the salmon cream onto the dough squares.
- 8. Roll the coated triangles into horn shapes.
- 9. Whisk the remaining egg yolk with the cream.
- 10. Brush the egg yolk and cream mixture over the rolls.
- 11. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the rolls.
- 12. Place the rolls side by side on baking sheets lined with baking paper.
- 13. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- 14. Remove the rolls from the oven.
- 15. Let the rolls cool down completely.
- 16. Serve the rolls.
