Ingredients
- 2 tsp Herbs of Provence (dried)
- 1 fresh red chili pepper
- Lemon (juice)
- 1 tbsp coarsely crushed peppercorns
- 5 garlic cloves
- 300 g mini mozzarella balls
- 0.5 l olive oil
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 2. Rinse the chili pepper under running water.
- 3. Cut the chili pepper lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds and the white inner membrane from the pod.
- 5. Cut the chili pepper into thin strips.
- 6. Place the cheese and the garlic cloves into a tightly sealable jar.
- 7. Distribute the herbs, chili strips, and pepper in the jar between the cheese pieces.
- 8. Mix the lemon juice with the olive oil.
- 9. Pour the oil-lemon mixture over the contents of the jar.
- 10. Let the jar stand in a cool place for about 10 days to allow the flavors to infuse.
