  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the cranberries under running water.
  2. 2. Let the sour cherries thaw at room temperature.
  3. 3. Add the cranberries and the thawed sour cherries to a large bowl.
  4. 4. Mix the fruit well with the pectin sugar.
  5. 5. Let the mixture sit for about two hours.
  6. 6. Stir the mixture occasionally during this time.
  7. 7. Then puree the fruit mixture finely, for example using a hand blender.
  8. 8. Heat the mixture in a pot while stirring constantly.
  9. 9. Bring the jam to a boil.
  10. 10. Let the jam boil vigorously for four minutes.
  11. 11. Fill the hot jam to the brim into the prepared screw-top jars.
  12. 12. Seal the jars tightly with the lids.
  13. 13. Turn the sealed jars upside down for ten minutes.
  14. 14. Then turn the jars right side up and let them cool down completely.
