  2. 2. Grease a loaf pan with butter and dust it with breadcrumbs.
  3. 3. Wash the orange under hot water and dry it thoroughly.
  4. 4. Finely grate the orange peel to obtain zest.
  5. 5. Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice.
  6. 6. Break the marzipan into small pieces.
  7. 7. Stir the marzipan with the orange juice until a creamy mixture forms.
  8. 8. Add the butter in pieces to the marzipan mixture.
  9. 9. Stir in the sugar alternately with the butter-marzipan mass.
  10. 10. Add the eggs one by one.
  11. 11. Whisk the entire mixture into a fluffy foam.
  12. 12. Mix the flour with the starch and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  13. 13. Stir the poppy seeds into the batter.
  14. 14. Add the flour mixture to the batter in portions and stir it in.
  15. 15. Add the milk and mix everything well.
  16. 16. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  17. 17. Smooth the surface of the batter.
