  1. 1. Rinse the potato and the carrot under running water.
  2. 2. Peel the potato and the carrot completely.
  3. 3. Cut the peeled vegetables into small, even cubes.
  4. 4. Rinse the piece of meat under cold water.
  5. 5. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
  6. 6. Cut the meat into thin strips.
  7. 7. Make sure to cut the strips across the grain of the meat.
  8. 8. Pour 100 milliliters of water into a pot.
  9. 9. Bring the water to a boil.
  10. 10. Add the cut vegetable pieces to the boiling water.
  11. 11. Add the meat strips to the pot as well.
  12. 12. Cover the pot with a lid.
  13. 13. Let the vegetables and meat simmer for about 10 minutes.
  14. 14. Remove the pot from the heat.
  15. 15. Puree the entire mixture finely with a hand blender.
  16. 16. Stir in the cooking water while blending to achieve the desired consistency.
  17. 17. Finally, stir the oil into the mash.
