🍽️ Honey Mustard Carrots with Thyme

Ingredients
- 800 g small bunch carrots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 5 sprigs lemon thyme
- 30 g grainy mustard (2 tbsp)
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the carrots thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the carrots carefully.
- 3. Leave the small stem end attached to the carrots.
- 4. Peel the garlic clove.
- 5. Dice the garlic very finely.
- 6. Wash the thyme sprigs.
- 7. Shake the thyme sprigs dry.
- 8. Remove the fine thyme tips and set them aside.
- 9. Chop the remaining thyme roughly.
- 10. Whisk the mustard with the maple syrup in a bowl.
- 11. Add the roughly chopped thyme to the mustard mixture.
- 12. Season the mixture with salt.
- 13. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 14. Add the orange juice to the mixture.
- 15. Add the finely diced garlic to the mixture.
- 16. Add the oil to the mixture.
- 17. Whisk all sauce ingredients well.
- 18. Place the peeled carrots into the sauce.
- 19. Toss the carrots so they are completely coated with the sauce.
- 20. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- 21. If using fan force, set the oven to 180 °C.
- 22. If using gas, set the level to 3.
- 23. Place the carrots into a baking dish.
- 24. Place the carrots into the preheated oven.
- 25. Cook the carrots for 20 minutes.
- 26. Turn the carrots occasionally during cooking.
- 27. Remove the carrots from the oven.
- 28. Arrange the carrots on a serving plate.
- 29. Garnish the finished carrots with the reserved thyme tips.
