🍽️ Yeast Dumplings with Cream Cheese Filling

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 1 cube fresh yeast (42 g)
- 70 g sugar
- 0.125 l lukewarm milk
- 75 g butter
- 2 eggs
- salt
- 400 g double cream cream cheese
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 untreated lemon (juice and zest)
- 50 g chopped pistachios
- 150 g raisins
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions
- 1. Sift the flour into a large bowl.
- 2. Make a well in the center of the flour.
- 3. Crumble the yeast into small pieces.
- 4. Mix the yeast with the milk and sugar.
- 5. Pour the yeast milk into the well.
- 6. Sprinkle some flour over the yeast mixture.
- 7. Cover the bowl.
- 8. Let the dough rise at room temperature for about 1 hour.
- 9. Add the butter, eggs, and a pinch of salt to the dough.
- 10. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- 11. Cover the dough again.
- 12. Let the dough rise at room temperature until it has doubled in size.
- 13. Mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar.
- 14. Add the egg to the cheese.
- 15. Add the lemon juice.
- 16. Add the lemon zest.
- 17. Stir everything well.
- 18. Add the pistachios to the filling.
- 19. Add the raisins to the filling.
- 20. Divide the finished dough into two equal parts.
- 21. Dust a work surface with flour.
- 22. Roll out one part of the dough on the floured surface.
- 23. Roll the dough to a thickness of 3 millimeters.
- 24. Cut out circles with a diameter of 15 centimeters.
- 25. Brush the dough circles with egg yolk.
- 26. Place one tablespoon of filling in the center of each circle.
- 27. Pull the edges of the dough circles upwards.
- 28. Fold the edges together.
- 29. Form small bags from the dough.
- 30. Press the bags firmly together above the filling.
- 31. Place the packets on a greased baking sheet.
- 32. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 33. Bake the yeast dumplings for 20 minutes.
