  1. 1. Add the dashi seaweed and bonito flakes to a pot.
  2. 2. Cover everything with water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. 3. Remove the pot from the heat and let the broth steep for ten minutes.
  4. 4. Strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solids.
  5. 5. Stir the miso paste into the warm broth until it is completely dissolved.
  6. 6. Bring the soup back to a boil briefly.
  7. 7. Add the shiitake mushrooms and wakame seaweed to the soup.
  8. 8. Let the ingredients cook briefly until they are heated through.
  9. 9. Divide the soup among small bowls.
  10. 10. Garnish each portion with sliced spring onions and dandelion greens.
