  1. 1. Rinse the mint leaves under running water.
  2. 2. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves.
  3. 3. Set aside a few nice, intact leaves for decoration.
  4. 4. Pour 125 milliliters of boiling water over the remaining mint.
  5. 5. Let the mixture steep for about 15 minutes.
  6. 6. Strain the liquid into a pot through a fine sieve.
  7. 7. Add apple wine, lemon juice, and jam sugar.
  8. 8. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
  9. 9. Let the mixture bubble vigorously for 4 minutes.
  10. 10. Remove the pot from the heat.
  11. 11. Stir in the mint liqueur.
  12. 12. Rinse jars with hot water beforehand.
  13. 13. Fill the hot mixture immediately into the hot jars.
  14. 14. Place a few of the reserved mint leaves into each jar.
  15. 15. Seal the jars.
  16. 16. Turn the jars upside down to cool.
  17. 17. Turn the jars upright again after about 10 minutes.
  18. 18. Let the jars cool completely.
