Ingredients
- 8 thin pork chops (approx. 140 g each)
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp flour
- 200 ml meat broth
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (e.g. rosemary, thyme and parsley)
Instructions
- 1. Switch the oven to the grill function. Place a rack in the oven compartment. Put a drip tray underneath to catch any dripping fat. Preheat the appliance.
- 2. Rinse the pork chops briefly under running water. Pat them completely dry with a kitchen towel. Brush the meat pieces with some olive oil. Season them generously with salt and pepper. Place the chops on the hot rack. Grill them for 8 to 10 minutes. Turn the meat once in the middle of the cooking time.
- 3. Peel the onions. Cut them into thin rings. Peel the garlic. Slice it into thin pieces. Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the onions and garlic in it slowly until golden brown over medium heat. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables. Deglaze the pan with the broth. Let the sauce simmer quietly for a few minutes. The sauce should only thicken slightly. Stir in the fresh herbs. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 4. Pour the finished sauce over the grilled meat slices. Plate the dish and serve immediately.
- 5. Serve the steak with crispy toast chips and fried potatoes with vegetables. You can choose the sides according to your taste.
