  1. 1. Let the cherries thaw in a bowl.
  2. 2. Melt the butter in a small pot.
  3. 3. Gently mix the quark, egg, semolina, melted butter, and honey in a second bowl.
  4. 4. Fold the thawed cherries into the quark mixture.
  5. 5. Place the strudel pastry sheets individually on baking paper.
  6. 6. Brush each sheet with two tablespoons of milk.
  7. 7. Fold the sheets in half.
  8. 8. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the pastry sheets.
  9. 9. Leave a border of about 1.5 centimeters free.
  10. 10. Distribute the filling across the lower third of the sheets.
  11. 11. Fold in the sides of the sheets.
  12. 12. Roll the sheets into small spirals.
  13. 13. Brush the spirals with the remaining milk.
  14. 14. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  15. 15. Place the mini quark spirals on the tray.
  16. 16. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (fan: 160 °C, gas: setting 2–3).
  17. 17. Bake the spirals on the middle rack for 20 to 25 minutes.
