🍰 Mini Quark Cherry Spirals

Ingredients
- 200 g sour cherries (frozen)
- 10 g butter
- 200 g low-fat quark
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp spelt semolina
- 2 tbsp liquid honey
- 4 sheets strudel pastry
- 4 tbsp milk (1.5% fat)
- 40 g wholemeal breadcrumbs (4 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Let the cherries thaw in a bowl.
- 2. Melt the butter in a small pot.
- 3. Gently mix the quark, egg, semolina, melted butter, and honey in a second bowl.
- 4. Fold the thawed cherries into the quark mixture.
- 5. Place the strudel pastry sheets individually on baking paper.
- 6. Brush each sheet with two tablespoons of milk.
- 7. Fold the sheets in half.
- 8. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the pastry sheets.
- 9. Leave a border of about 1.5 centimeters free.
- 10. Distribute the filling across the lower third of the sheets.
- 11. Fold in the sides of the sheets.
- 12. Roll the sheets into small spirals.
- 13. Brush the spirals with the remaining milk.
- 14. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 15. Place the mini quark spirals on the tray.
- 16. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (fan: 160 °C, gas: setting 2–3).
- 17. Bake the spirals on the middle rack for 20 to 25 minutes.
