  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
  2. 2. Grease the small ramekins with some butter.
  3. 3. Peel the kohlrabi.
  4. 4. Slice the kohlrabi thinly or grate it finely.
  5. 5. Place the kohlrabi pieces into the prepared ramekins.
  6. 6. Mix the cream with the crème fraîche.
  7. 7. Whisk the eggs into the cream mixture.
  8. 8. Add half of the cheese to the liquid and stir well.
  9. 9. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg.
  10. 10. Pour the sauce over the kohlrabi in the ramekins.
  11. 11. Make sure the kohlrabi is almost completely covered with the sauce.
  12. 12. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the gratin.
  13. 13. Bake the gratin for about 30 minutes in the oven until golden brown.
