🍽️ Mini Kohlrabi Gratin

Ingredients
- 800 g Kohlrabi
- 1 clove of garlic
- 300 ml whipping cream
- 2 tbsp crème fraîche
- 2 eggs
- 150 g grated Gruyère cheese
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- nutmeg
- butter (for the ramekins)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Grease the small ramekins with some butter.
- 3. Peel the kohlrabi.
- 4. Slice the kohlrabi thinly or grate it finely.
- 5. Place the kohlrabi pieces into the prepared ramekins.
- 6. Mix the cream with the crème fraîche.
- 7. Whisk the eggs into the cream mixture.
- 8. Add half of the cheese to the liquid and stir well.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg.
- 10. Pour the sauce over the kohlrabi in the ramekins.
- 11. Make sure the kohlrabi is almost completely covered with the sauce.
- 12. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the gratin.
- 13. Bake the gratin for about 30 minutes in the oven until golden brown.
