Ingredients
- 350 g soft butter
- 100 g sugar
- 275 g flour
- 400 g sweetened condensed milk
- 40 g liquid honey
- 250 g dark chocolate coating
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Beat 225 grams of butter with the sugar until creamy.
- 3. Sift the flour over the butter-sugar mixture.
- 4. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 5. Line a cake pan with dimensions of approximately 21 by 21 centimeters with baking paper.
- 6. Press the dough evenly onto the bottom of the pan.
- 7. Bake the base in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- 8. Remove it from the oven and let it cool.
- 9. Warm the remaining butter for the filling.
- 10. Stir in the condensed milk and honey.
- 11. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 12. Let it simmer for about 50 minutes, stirring regularly, until it is golden brown and caramelized.
- 13. Pour the mixture over the cooled biscuit base.
- 14. Let it cool.
- 15. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- 16. Chop the chocolate (coating chocolate).
- 17. Melt it over a hot water bath.
- 18. Let the chocolate cool slightly.
- 19. Pour it over the caramel.
- 20. Spread it smooth.
- 21. Let the cake cool completely for at least 3 hours.
- 22. Cut the cake into small squares with a sharp knife.
- 23. Serve.
