🍽️ Fruity Melon Salad with Grapes and Figs

Ingredients
- 0.5 watermelon
- 1 sweet net melon
- 250 g light seedless grapes
- 250 g dark seedless grapes
- 500 apricots
- 4 fresh figs
- 250 ml freshly squeezed orange juice (3 - 4 oranges)
- 2 tsp grated orange zest
- 20 ml orange liqueur
- 100 g sugar
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Cut the net melon in half and remove the seeds.
- 2. Remove the flesh from the net melon and cut it into small cubes.
- 3. Seed the watermelon.
- 4. Use a melon baller to scoop out small balls from the watermelon.
- 5. Cut the remaining watermelon flesh into small pieces.
- 6. Place the hollowed-out watermelon half in the refrigerator.
- 7. Wash the grapes thoroughly.
- 8. Remove any stems and bad berries from the grapes.
- 9. Dry the grapes with a kitchen towel.
- 10. Wash the apricots.
- 11. Halve the apricots and remove the pits.
- 12. Cut the apricot halves into thin wedges.
- 13. Wash the figs.
- 14. Cut the figs into eight equal pieces.
- 15. Put the orange juice, orange zest, and liqueur into a pot.
- 16. Add the lemon juice and sugar.
- 17. Bring the mixture to a boil in a pot.
- 18. Let the mixture boil vigorously for 2 minutes.
- 19. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 20. Let the syrup cool down.
- 21. Mix the prepared fruit with the cooled orange syrup.
- 22. Fill the fruit mixture into the hollowed-out watermelon half.
- 23. Cover the melon.
- 24. Place the melon in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- 25. Crush ice in a large bowl.
- 26. Serve the melon half on top of the crushed ice.
