🍽️ Melon and Mozzarella Salad with Ham and Mustard Dressing

Ingredients
- 100 ml vegetable broth
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp hot mustard
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- 1 cantaloupe melon
- 125 g arugula
- 200 g mozzarella
- 100 g serrano ham (in thin slices)
Instructions
- 1. Heat the broth in a small pot.
- 2. Add the mustard seeds to the hot broth.
- 3. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- 4. Set the pot aside and let the broth cool down completely.
- 5. Cut the melon in half.
- 6. Remove the seeds from the melon.
- 7. Use a melon baller to scoop out the fruit flesh into small balls.
- 8. Wash the arugula thoroughly.
- 9. Remove tough stems and wilted leaves from the arugula.
- 10. Shake the arugula dry.
- 11. Drain the mozzarella well.
- 12. Cut the mozzarella into small cubes.
- 13. Pour the cooled broth into a shaker bottle.
- 14. Add the sharp mustard, honey, vinegar, and oil.
- 15. Shake the ingredients vigorously until the dressing is well combined.
- 16. Season the dressing to taste with salt and pepper.
- 17. Toss the melon balls, mozzarella, and arugula together in a bowl.
- 18. Divide the salad mixture onto the plates.
- 19. Drizzle the mustard dressing over the salad.
- 20. Garnish the salad with the ham.
- 21. Serve the salad immediately.
