Ingredients
- 1 watermelon
- 0.5 honeydew melon (seeded)
- 0.5 Charentais melon (seeded)
- 2 lemons (juiced)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 bunch lemon balm (leaves)
- ice cubes
Instructions
- 1. Place the watermelon securely on your cutting board.
- 2. Cut off a small slice from the top to create a flat, stable base.
- 3. Use a melon baller or a small spoon.
- 4. Scoop out beautiful balls from one-third of the flesh.
- 5. Make sure to remove all seeds.
- 6. Use the remaining fruit flesh for another snack or dish.
- 7. Repeat the process with the other types of melons to create more balls.
- 8. In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, honey, and a pinch of pepper to make a dressing.
- 9. Whisk the ingredients together to make a dressing.
- 10. Finely chop lemon balm leaves.
- 11. Stir in finely chopped lemon balm leaves.
- 12. Gently toss the melon balls in this mixture.
- 13. Fill the hollowed-out watermelon shell with the salad.
- 14. Line a large platter with ice cubes.
- 15. Place the watermelon on the prepared platter.
- 16. Serve immediately.
