🍽️ Fresh Melon and Redcurrant Juice

Ingredients
- 400 g melon flesh (honeydew melon)
- 100 g green blackcurrants (or white)
- 100 g sugar (to taste, more or less)
- 1 lemon (juice)
- Crushed Ice (for serving)
- Mineral water (to top up)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the melon flesh into bite-sized pieces.
- 2. Place the melon pieces into a pot.
- 3. Rinse the redcurrants briefly under running water.
- 4. Carefully strip the berries from the stems.
- 5. Add the redcurrants to the pot as well.
- 6. Add the sugar.
- 7. Pour in the lemon juice.
- 8. Add about 500 milliliters of water to the mixture.
- 9. Bring everything to a boil on the stove.
- 10. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 11. Puree the cooked fruit mixture until smooth.
- 12. Allow the mixture to cool down.
- 13. Pour the cooled mixture through a fine cloth to strain the juice.
- 14. Squeeze the cloth well to extract as much juice as possible.
- 15. Catch the juice in a clean container.
- 16. Let the juice cool down completely.
- 17. Pour the cold juice into glasses filled with crushed ice.
- 18. Dilute the juice to taste with a little sparkling water.
