  2. 2. Use a melon baller to scoop out small balls from the flesh.
  3. 3. Place the melon pieces into a large punch bowl.
  4. 4. Sprinkle rum, cognac, and one teaspoon of sugar over the fruit.
  5. 5. Pour half of the prosecco over the mixture.
  6. 6. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
  7. 7. Top up the punch with the remaining prosecco just before serving.
