  3. 3. Rinse the tomatoes immediately under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. 4. Peel the loosened skin off the tomatoes.
  5. 5. Wash the chili pepper thoroughly.
  6. 6. Remove the stem and seeds from the chili.
  7. 7. Finely chop the chili pepper.
  8. 8. Peel the melon.
  9. 9. Cut the melon in half.
  10. 10. Remove the seeds from the melon.
  11. 11. Use a melon baller (a small, spherical spoon) to scoop out 12 equal balls from the melon.
  12. 12. Set the melon balls aside.
  13. 13. Cut the remaining melon flesh into rough chunks.
  14. 14. Place the melon chunks, the prepared cherry tomatoes, and the chopped chili into a blender.
  15. 15. Blend the ingredients into a smooth soup.
  16. 16. Season the soup with sugar, lemon juice, and salt to taste.
  17. 17. Wash the basil.
  18. 18. Shake the basil dry.

  20. 20. Distribute the melon balls, the chopped basil, and a few ice cubes into small bowls.
