Ingredients
- 1 nicely shaped watermelon (approx. 2 kg)
- 100 g clementine
- 700 g fresh pineapple
- 100 g peach flesh (possibly from a can)
- 150 g rock sugar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the melon under running water and then pat it dry with a cloth.
- 2. Carve a decorative pattern into the melon's rind.
- 3. Cut off the top part of the melon at a distance of about 3 cm.
- 4. Cut the bottom of the melon slightly flat so that it stands stably on the work surface.
- 5. Carefully separate the flesh from the rind and remove the seeds without damaging the rind.
- 6. Weigh out 100 grams of the fruit flesh.
- 7. Cut the weighed fruit flesh and the remaining fruits into small pieces.
- 8. Fill the cut fruits back into the hollowed-out melon rind.
- 9. Place the filled melon in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
- 10. Bring about 1 liter of water to a boil in a pot.
- 11. Add rock sugar and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 12. Pour the hot sugar water into a bowl and let it cool.
- 13. Pour the cooled sugar water into the melon until you have reached the desired amount.
- 14. Place the cut-off lid back on the melon.
- 15. Now serve the melon.
